Who we are and what this notice covers
This draft applies to dailyfoodinternational.com and its contact form. It names Daily Food Limited (“Daily Food”, “we”, “us” or “our”) as the proposed website operator and data controller. Our address is North Industrial Area, Accra, Ghana. The site provides corporate and product information; it has no customer accounts, checkout or card payments.
Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Contact-form information: your name, email address, enquiry category, message, and a randomly generated submission reference used to prevent duplicate delivery.
- Correspondence: later emails and records created while we respond to a consumer, product, retail, distribution, food-service, investor, media, career, or other enquiry.
- Technical and security data: information normally sent with a web request, such as IP address, approximate location derived from it, request time, requested page or search term, browser or device details, referrer information, and firewall or anti-abuse events.
- Google Maps interaction data: when you choose to load the optional map or follow the separate link that opens Google Maps. Your browser then connects to Google, which may receive technical and interaction data and may use cookies or similar storage under its own policies.
- Business representative information we publish:names, roles, biographies, professional-profile links, and photographs of founders, team members, or other representatives. This may come directly from the person, company records, or an identified public or licensed source.
Search terms appear in the page address and may be stored in browser history and hosting logs. Please do not put personal or sensitive information into product search or the contact message. In particular, do not submit passwords, payment-card details, national identification numbers, or health information through this site.
How and why we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- receive, route and respond to enquiries;
- take steps you request before a potential supply, distribution, retail, employment, investor, media, or other relationship;
- maintain appropriate business correspondence and records;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website;
- prevent spam, fraud, abuse and duplicate submissions;
- meet legal, regulatory, food-safety, product-complaint and record-keeping obligations; and
- present Daily Food's history, leadership, workforce and business activities, subject to an appropriate legal basis and the individual's applicable rights.
The legal basis depends on the purpose and circumstances. It may include consent, a contract, a legal requirement, protection of an individual's legitimate interests, a statutory duty, or a legitimate interest pursued by Daily Food or a third party. Sending a general enquiry is not consent to unrelated marketing.
What you need to provide
Using the contact form is voluntary. All visible fields are required because we need them to understand, route, and answer your message. If you do not provide them, the form cannot submit your enquiry. You can also call us using the phone number on our contact page.
Processing outside Ghana
Vercel, Resend, Namecheap, Google and other providers may process data outside Ghana, including in the United States. Privacy laws may differ. The relevant locations and safeguards are still being reviewed for the final notice.
Proposed retention periods
On 3 September 2026, Daily Food approved these retention targets: routine enquiries and correspondence, up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact; routine website and anti-abuse logs, up to 30 days; and closed security-incident records, up to 12 months unless an investigation or legal claim requires longer. Records connected with a business relationship, product complaint, recall, regulatory matter or legal claim may follow another applicable schedule. Provider backups may follow different deletion cycles. These targets may not yet reflect every system's settings.
We propose to keep public biographies, professional links and photographs only while they remain accurate, relevant and lawfully published.
How we protect information
The website uses encrypted connections, server-side validation, spam and duplicate-submission controls, firewall monitoring and protected service credentials. No internet or email system is completely secure.
Children's data
This corporate website and its enquiry form are intended for adults and business contacts. We do not knowingly seek personal data from anyone under 18. A child should ask a parent or guardian to contact us on their behalf. If we learn that a child's data was submitted without appropriate authority, we will delete it unless retention is required by law or needed to protect the child.
Your data-protection rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- ask us to confirm whether we hold your personal data and explain the purpose and recipient categories;
- ask for access to an understandable copy of that data;
- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete, excessive, outdated, or misleading;
- request deletion or destruction where the Act permits;
- object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
- give written notice asking us not to begin, or to stop, processing likely to cause unwarranted damage or distress, subject to the procedure and exceptions in the Act.
The proposed address for privacy requests is info@dailyfoodinternational.com. Once confirmed, use the subject “Privacy request”. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and locate relevant records, and will respond within the periods required by Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
You may also raise a concern with Ghana's Data Protection Commission. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the concern promptly.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the website, our business processes, service providers, or the law changes. We will post the revised version here and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes will receive additional notice where required.
